This Privacy Policy applies to Calorie AI Counter and related services.

We collect account, goal, meal, image, and usage data to provide calorie tracking, AI analysis, and purchase support.

We do not sell personal information. We only share data with vendors that help us run the service.

Users can request access, correction, export, or deletion of their data through the contact details below.

1. Scope and role

Calorie AI Counter (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the App and related services, and how you can exercise your rights.

We process information on a minimum necessary basis. The App does not provide ads and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for cross-app tracking or personalized advertising.

If you do not agree with any part of this Privacy Policy, please stop using the App. By continuing to use the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

2. Information we collect

  • Account and identity data: nickname, Apple sign-in data, bound phone number or email address, avatar, and profile metadata.
  • Health and nutrition data: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goals, calorie targets, meal records, macro targets, and food notes.
  • User content: food photos, chat prompts, AI assistant messages, and manual edits to recognized results.
  • Subscription and transaction data: product identifier, purchase status, renewal or expiration status, restore events, and customer support records. We do not receive full payment card numbers from Apple.
  • Technical and usage data: device model, app version, language, timestamps, crash diagnostics, network error logs, and basic analytics needed to secure and improve the service.

3. How we use personal information

  • Provide meal logging, AI recognition, nutrition estimates, goal calculation, and account synchronization across platforms.
  • Authenticate users, prevent abuse, maintain service security, and investigate incidents.
  • Deliver paid features, verify subscription entitlement, restore purchases, and process customer support requests.
  • Improve model prompts, product quality, onboarding flow, and localization coverage using aggregated or de-identified trends where practical.
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect the App, users, and service operations.

4. Health and AI features

The app may process food photos, meal descriptions, and body-profile inputs to generate AI-assisted calorie and macro estimates. These outputs are probabilistic and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

The service is not a medical device, does not provide diagnosis or treatment, and should not replace professional medical advice. Users should consult qualified professionals for medical or nutrition decisions.

5. Legal bases and regional rights

Where required by applicable law, we rely on one or more legal bases such as performing our contract with the user, legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, consent for optional processing, and compliance with legal obligations.

Depending on location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing, and may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis.

6. Sharing and disclosure

  • Infrastructure and cloud hosting vendors that store application data and media.
  • Analytics, crash-reporting, authentication, and customer support vendors acting on our instructions.
  • App Store, payment, and subscription service providers for entitlement verification and restore operations.
  • Professional advisers, regulators, courts, or law enforcement when required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the service.

We do not sell personal information or share personal information for third-party advertising purposes.

7. International transfers

Our vendors and systems may process data in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Where required, we use contractual or operational safeguards intended to protect transferred information.

8. Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.

Meal logs, profile data, and subscription records may remain in backups or audit logs for a limited period after deletion requests, subject to security and legal requirements.

9. Account deletion and data requests

Users may request account deletion, export, correction, or other privacy actions by contacting us at starcatservice9527@gmail.com. If the iOS app offers in-app account deletion, that flow controls the same backend data set as the web and mobile services.

To protect security, we may need to verify your identity before processing your request.

10. Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, or under a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

11. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above and, where appropriate, by additional in-product notice.
